Renowned energy expert, Andrew Padian, CPC’s Vice President for Energy Initiatives, will be one of the panelists at CPC’s inaugural webinar focused on CPC’s newly launched revolutionary Green Financing Initiative.
With over 25 years of experience in the field of sustainability and energy efficiency, Mr. Padian has assisted in the implementation of a range of new energy efficiency projects during his broad career. At CPC, he trains mortgage officers in identifying appropriate efficiency measures and conducts energy audits.
Making buildings energy efficient has become a rising trend, not only because it is beneficial to the environment and its communities, but because energy efficient buildings will help offset rising utility costs including water and heating oil.
Before joining CPC, Mr. Padian ran the Multifamily Buildings Division for Steven Winter Associates, Inc., a nationally recognized consulting firm and leader in sustainable building practices. His multifamily division worked on the first affordable Energy Star and LEED buildings in NY State. He also created the first national model for training and certification of building managers and maintenance staff of multifamily buildings for energy efficiency. Mr. Padian has performed detailed energy analysis on hundreds of buildings across the country, providing recommendations for energy and water efficiency, comfort, durability and health and safety for both new and existing buildings.
Mr. Padian is involved in many sustainable causes including GreenHome NYC, the Clinton Community Garden and the Northeast Sustainable Energy Association (NESEA) where he served as Conference Chair of their 2008 Building Energy Conference, and will serve as their Vice Chair for 2009 in Boston. He is a graduate of Syracuse University, having been the first to receive a degree in Energy and Environmental Policy from the Maxwell School in 1978.
Sadie McKeown, Director of CPC’s Green Financing Initiative and Pat Logan, CPC Bronx/Manhattan Mortgage Officer will join Padian in hosting this interactive session.
